The domain was created by a couple whose parents were winemakers, great natural winemakers. Mathieu Deiss, Marcel Deiss’s son from Alsace and Emmanuelle Milan, Henry Milan’s daughter from Provence. Young winemakers indeed, with insane energy and a good knowledge of wine. Their thing is maceration (even on “classic” vintages like this one) , which involves leaving the juice in contact with the skin and the seeds for some time to give it more complexity and richness.
Pierres Sauvages :
A blend of the three Pinot d’Alsace (white, gris and noir) with a slight maceration. A taste of river pebble on the palate, a very fleshy and round wine. A note of roasted dry fruit and macerated citrus fruit on white fruit aromas, then a slight salinity.
